Install

If you don’t mind installing development and unstable branches of applications then Compiz 0.9.2 can be installed using the Unity testing PPA. Caution is advised here as this version of Compiz will throw up issues when installed.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:unity/ppa sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade

If you the packages are ‘held back’ install aptitude and run upgrade again.

sudo apt-get install aptitude sudo aptitude upgrade
