If you were using a VCC (Virtual Credit Card) to verify your PayPal account, your PayPal account will remain to verified status. You will be able to send money or withdraw money into your bank account. Yes, you can use verified PayPal account with expired VCC inside. However, you won’t be able to use PayPal with expired VCC inside to make monthly subscription payment such as hosting, or any other subscription services that require automatic scheduled payment.
I’ve been becoming PayPal verified member since February 2009 using VCC, which is expired last month. However, I’m still using my PayPal account as usual, accept payments, send money, as well as withdraw to my bank account without problems, even though the VCC is already expired. Today, I was getting a problem because my VCC is expired.
PayPal requested to Update My Expired Credit or Debit Card, although I have enough balance in my PayPal account.

To complete this payment, add a debit or credit card to your PayPal account. Your card will not be charged unless the transaction amount exceeds your balance.

Errr…
Another blogger was getting the similar problem before, and he contacted the VCC seller about it and the seller only offer Rp. 45,000 to extend the VCC usage. But, when I’m chatting with the seller, she told me to buy another new VCC for only Rp 70,000. Funny, why do I get different price?

Well, it’s not a big deal. Finally, my account could be used to create quarterly subscription payment for new hosting that will be available soon.
